financial problems more easily when they share their money
experiences openly with at least one other person.

the dynamics of money and won’t judge your behaviors—past

support was to Twelve-Step programs such as Debtors
Anonymous or investment/financial planning groups.
There has been no place to holistically deal with a wide
range of financial issues in an environment that focuses
on developing a healthy financial identity, a positive

goal was to make available to a larger audience the

Requirements for
Facilitating
| The
only requirements for leading a group are a strong
desire to improve your relationship with money plus
a willingness to: |

- Commit to facilitate meetings for at least
six months
- Study the materials
provided by Prosperity Place.
- Reach out to others to tell them about the
support group using marketing aids we provide.
- Using the suggested
outline for group gatherings
- Be an active member of the group, on equal
footing with all other members
- Arrange a meeting place
for the group

Although it can be useful to have previous coaching
or facilitating experience or a background in psychology,
this is not necessary. Previously attending any kind
of support group or Twelve-Step meetings can also be
helpful.
People who facilitate a Build Your Money
Muscles support group can have the same issues as other
members in the group. You don’t have to have reached
any particular financial level. This is about growing
with the group—you don’t have to be the
role model.
