(http://prosperityplace.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Joan-speaking-150x150.jpg)I recently received an email with the subject, “Can you create a 50K a month Webinar?” Of course, the copy said you can. This kind of over-the-top claim is rarely true. I’ve been doing tele-classes and webinars for 12 years and have been doing business online for 20, so I think I can give you a realistic overview of the potential for earning money online. Highlights * When I first got online 20 years ago, I knew the Internet was the future. * In the beginning, making money online was easy and the software was simple. * A lot of sales letters are making wild claims about how easy it is to make a lot of money online. * You have to love the Internet and spending time online. * A lot of people who are making a lot of money online are selling information about selling online. * What matters now is building online relationships. * Don’t ask, “How can I sell a lot of stuff?” Ask, “How can I build profitable relationships?” * Two kinds of selling online: Information products or actual goods and services. * It’s important for people to feel you’re talking to them. * You have to spend time making contact with people. It’s about connection. * Today, everyone is shouting for the same dollars. * Making money online is easier if you have a team of people helping you. * You can make money online if you are willing to spend the same amount of time you would for an offline business. * Your online business is like a child your creating and nurturing, it just happens to be electronic. * The claims that you can make money quickly may be true occasionally, but not very often. * You have to spend time researching your potential market. Do people really want what you’re offering? * Share useful information on Twitter and interact with others. * The online market is constantly changing. * Selling online is the same as the mail order business. * Not everything you try will work out. * You need someone to talk to who has long-term experience, you can trust, and who will give you good advice. You can now copy the text and use however you wish. I heard this on Ray Edwards Podcast  (http://rayedwards.com) Highlights from Today’s Show: In the 1970’s I began to ask the question, if it’s true that we create our own reality, how do we do this? I’ve come to believe that the outcomes of our life stories are the result of our habitual thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and behaviors, many of which develop in early childhood. Your emotions act as a bridge between your internal and external worlds. (http://prosperityplace.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Emotion-figure-7-1-300x73.gif) Since we deal with money on a daily basis, it’s useful to look at money when considering this theory, especially if you understand that money is a symbol of relationships and how you deal with money is how you de al with relationships with yourself and others. When you realize this, you’ll realize that you can’t run out of money, you can only run out of people. I also explain why you can stop asking, “Why does this happen to me?” Suggestions are given for experiencing your money feelings and how doing this can lead to new outcomes. and the three-step method for changing habitual emotions is introduced.  (Recognize, Release, Replace.) Suggested Action: Be aware of the kinesthetic experience in your body when dealing with money. These experiences are your money feelings. His compassionate guidance has helped thousands of people from all over the world discover their own health and powerful abilities both personally and professionally. He has also been mentoring and advising practitioners on creating business success for over a decade. Highlights * Jeffrey shares the story of how he built his successful energy medicine practice using referrals and inexpensive marketing. * People don’t want to know how it’s done, they just want to know about the benefits. * Jeffrey studied a lot about how people learn and how they communicate. * People who love to heal, don’t want to do the business piece. His course gives them core skills. * He has broken down business to the seven chakras. * “If I can give people in a way that they can understand it, they become self-motivated.” * People call his course a business course for right-brained entrepreneurs. * Jeffrey compares a business to a living business. * The fuel/food that keeps a business going is money. * A lot of healer are up in the higher chakras, so he provides the counterbalance for the lower chakras. * Chakras are energy centers of the body that trace back to ancient writings. * One of the scientists that Jeffrey works with can photograph chakras. * After he started taking pictures of nature at a young age, he began to recognize patterns. As an adult, he also saw patterns in business and figured out how to leverage what he saw. * Jeffrey talks about the four seasons of a business. * The seasons of a business do not necessarily follow the seasons of the weather. * The behaviors and cycles of a business can be the same as human behaviors and cyles. * Once you see the invisible patterns, it allows you to be in the flow. * Healers are not separate from their business. * “I do my best to practice what I preach.” Links Jeffrey’s site: www.CareerHearted.com (http://www.CareerHearted.com) Jeffrey on Twitter: @CareerHeartedCo On Facebook: www.facebook.com/CareerHearted (http://www.facebook.com/CareerHearted) Joan Sotkin: Holistic Business and Money Coach no 34:35

Highlights * Setting the stage, we roll back the clock to 1975, and I share my situation at the time. * I tell the story of how a woman I met who started channeling messages for us. * When I asked, “Who are you?” the answer I always got was, “We are you, but more than you.” I came to call it the Voice of the Us. * Today, psychic phenomenon and communication with other dimensions has become more common. * The results of the long journey I took is that I have an incredibly well developed intuition. * We are beginning to understand that there is life beyond what we can see in our three dimensional world. * The world is much more open now to the idea of other dimensions. * If we just let go and listen, everyone can be in touch with the greater reality. * When I was looking for information about serotonin, I “heard” very specific directions for finding what I needed. * When people start talking about these odd experiences, we can understand that other dimensions are just part of our lives. * Acknowledging the “more” of life allows us to expands the tools we have with which to build our lives. * So many people are paralyzed by fear. Highlights * All of us are just a series of habits, and our life outcomes are affected by our habitual thoughts, beliefs, and emotions. * The placebo effect is an example of expectations affecting our outcomes. * Fear of financial loss often leads to financial loss. * I tell the story of a client who has trouble saving money. * Do you want a savings account or do you want to feel safe and secure? * Having money doesn’t guarantee you will feel safe and secure. * An expectation of not feeling safe and secure can lead to behaviors that satisfy that expectation. * There is truth to the Law of Attraction, but the truth lies so much deeper than people realize. * When make a sale, the buyer is saying, “I love, accept, acknowledge, and appreciate you.” * If you habitually feel unacknowledged, it’s going to be hard to earn at what you perceive to be your potential. * If you have an expectation of not being appreciated, you’ll create the life story to prove that. * Which of your expectations are coming true? * What happened early in your life that set up your expectation of not being appreciated. And how are you acting that out through your finances. * Whatever you’re going through today is helping you become who you’re becoming. * Money is a learning mechanism when you’re in business. * It’s never about the money, it’s always about something else. * Awareness is the first stage in the healing process. Become aware of your expectations. Do you have an underlying expectation of not reaching your income potential? Joan Sotkin: Holistic Business and Money Coach no 23:06

When he’s not enjoying nature, making his wife smile, or playing with his two young sons, he’s living intentionally, being Paleo, and Experience Curating. Highlights * Joel describes himself as a curator, which means he is filtering his experiences for the most meaningful and valuable ones and then archiving them. He loves spreadsheets, so that’s what he uses. * How curating is different from keeping a diary. * Joel turned his miserable memory into a superpower with curating. * There are a bazillion ways of practicing simplicity. * Curating allows Joel to eliminate the excess in his life. * A lot of simplicity is figuring out what’s holding you back, where’s the excess, and asking, “Can I live without it.” * Identify what’s purposeful and focus on it. * Simple does not mean ascetic. * “Simplicity is an internal tool I use to figure out what my purpose is.” * “There’s a ton of value in less.” * Ask, what is it I want? What will bring me fulfilment? * Joel worked in the financial industry just for the money.
